of Greater Hollywood, Florida!
The Club was established in 1964 for the purpose of bringing together people of German birth and heritage and citizens of the United States for cultural purpose, and promote German-American relations and understanding of the German culture.

The German American Society of Hollywood, always looking and working for new ways to promote our German Customs, heritage and comradeship for all fellow Americans of all nationalities and cultures, working to preserve the German Cultural for Future Generations.
Officers/Directors
Our Officers and Board of Directors meet monthly to ensure the smooth operation of the society. To follow the bylaws set down by our founding Members. Members serve for a two year term with elections held each year. Click here for details.
History of the Club
In November of 1964 Holger Obermann, an American of German descent, got together with others to form the first German American club in Hollywood, with the purpose of preserving the traditions, culture, and heritage of their German homes and country they left behind to start a new life in America. Since then, many dedicated members have given their time and talents to continue the founders' original challenges.

Calendar of Event
Take a look at our calendar, our dinner dances are held the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. Our dances always have a holiday theme. We look forward to “Fasching”, Oktoberfest”, and a host of other German events, also American Holidays. Fourth of July in a Bang. Click here for details. Membership
